Start with classification and customs value
The applicable duty depends on the goods, classification, origin treatment and relevant rules. Customs valuation commonly considers cost, insurance and freight; the correct valuation treatment must be assessed for the transaction.
Separate the different charges
Import duty, VAT and any other applicable taxes are distinct from freight, brokerage and delivery charges. Other taxes can affect the VAT base for some goods. An estimate should make its assumptions clear.
Bring the details for an assessment
Send your invoice, currency, shipping terms, freight/insurance costs and product specifications. Our team can explain the basis of the estimate and what remains to be confirmed. Portal invoice totals and duty estimates are presented separately.
